For all the details go to our Holidays page  Achill Island We were in Ireland for the KSP World Tour Aer Lingus Pro at the end of October based at Achill Island on the West Coast and hosted by Pure Magic. Unfortunately we got skunked with wind and waves meaning there was no final result. After 2 no results this year in Portugal and now Ireland and with no prize money on offer for the Maui event, this signals the end of Lee's World Tour campaign for 2012 with him currently lying in =13th on the IKA rankings. With small waves and North to West winds, Gwithian has been amazing with all the beaches around St Ives bay offering up amazing kite conditions. In the southerly winds we have been having, Marazion has been perfect, although some waves last week have stirred up a bit of weed making for some line tangles and the students learning about the importance of staying away from weed and cleaning your lines after your kitesurf session. The beach have now been cleaned by Cornwall Council who use the weed to fertilize the farms around Penzance. With great winds forecast again all this week and the beaches pretty empty, there has been no better time to learn to kitesurf in Cornwall, so make the most of this summer and get in touch today to book in your extreme adventure with Pasty Adventures, West Cornwalls only British Kite Surfing Association recognised school. Currently keeping my nose dry for a few more days gearing up for another weekend of epic conditions. Will it beat fridays triple overhead session at the Bluff with just me out. Neap tides mean it could be even better, lets hope so. Fingers crossed will have some good light for the Go Pro and Ding is back and coming down. Ye Ha! |
