Kitesurfing at Marazion
From the 11th April 2014 Pasty Adventures will be open for Kitesurf lessons at Gwithian and Marazion. As West Cornwall's only British Kitesports recognised school we pride ourselves on giving the best quality instruction and have just taken delivery of brand new North Kiteboarding kites and boards as well as wetsuits from O'Neill to ensure all students have the best possible equipment to start their kitesurfing career. For those that can already Kite we are running a couple of Kitesurf Clinics, Saturday 19th April- Intro to Wave and Sunday 20th April is the Wave Clinic, price is just £60 per clinic all the details here. For any Intermediate Kitesurfers who would like coaching or a refresher before getting back in the water this spring we are able to make a package suitable to your needs or if you get a group of friends at similar abitities we can organise a great value Kitesurf Clinic.  Strapless air- Marazion Finally mid October has produced some amazing Kitesurf conditions here in Cornwall. South swell and mostly south winds has seen some epic jumping sessions and teaching days at Marazion while Gwithian has been perfect for getting into waveriding with cross shore winds and waist to head high waves. This weekend we had 3 guys on a private wave coaching weekend and they all learnt lots, going from struggling to get out on sat morning to riding down the line by sunday afternoon. Great to see and even better that they all had the North Whip after my recommendations as it really is the best kitesurf production board out there ;) Coming into the winter months we are still running beginner kitesurfing lessons in Cornwall right up until Christmas. We can also run private coaching or clinics in Waves or Twin Tip Freeride, check out whats available here and get in touch to discuss the best options for you. In January and Feb we will be out in Cape Town and are available for Private coaching. Lee has been to the Cape for 4 winters so if you want to have a days guiding to get to know the spots or some coaching to improve while on your hols? Then we can help you out. Week 1 is Freeriding on the Lagoon with Week 2, Waves at the perfect right hand pointbreak of Oum Laboiur. Price from £560 staying in the Ocean Spirit house, all meals, transfers etc. Excl. flights which are currently around £350. Limited space so be quick. Cheers Lee 'Pasty' Harvey Our recent Intermediate Twin Tip kitesurfing clinic with BKSA Coach, Lee Harvey ran on sunday 14th april at Marazion in a chilly but sunny south easterly wind. Despite the wind playing games, meaning we had to change kites half way through, the 4 guys all learnt lots to push their kitesurfing level upwards over the coming months. Starting off with on land demos we looked at; riding toeside, jumps, pop, and backrolls. We then progressed onto on water demos on each segment before the guys took on the moves themselves. Below is a little video of the clinic. Next Intermediate clinic is planned for Sat 24th June. Details on the clinic page Feedback from the guys- 'The best thing about it for me was it gave me more confidence to just 'have a go' and try some new moves, rather than doing the same thing.' 'Didn't have any expectations as I've never had lessons or coaching before. It was good to see what it like, I thought it was good value and would do it agian.'
