Boa Vista, Cape Verde Islands 12th - 19th March 2013 - £995 pp
We are really pleased to be going to magical Boa Vista for this Kite Surfari.
The focus of this trip will be to have fun while improving your open sea riding whether on a TT or Surfboard. Boa Vista has loads of different spots form Onshore to Sideshore from the left to Sideshore from the right, Big barreling waves and smaller softer waves. Boa Vista really is a kitesurf paradise waiting for us to explore and has something for everyone. You can check out the main spots and what conditions are like here
We will be staying in Hotel Estoril which is right on Sal Rei beach (one of the main spots) meaning that with the good flight times we can kite on the day of arrival and the day of departure. For more information on the hotel click here to be redirected to Sportif's website.
The 5 days coaching with BKSA coach and World Tour rider, Lee Harvey will be tailored to suit the groups overall needs in the mornings and include personal coaching sessions in the afternoons. Coaching can be on anything from riding toeside on a tt, your 1st try on a strapless surfboard or perfecting your wave technique. We will also look closely at warm up techniques, fitness and rescue scenarios, to leave you a more knowledgeable & confident kitesurfer.
Coaching runs from 10am-4pm with a quick lunch break. Evenings will include debriefs and theory sessions relevant to the days activities.
Outside of these times you will be able to join Lee while freeriding or surfing and gain extra tips while safe in the company of a pro rider and fully insured BKSA coach.
To come on this coaching holiday your kitesurfing should already be above Level 2 and you should be comfortable riding in the open sea among waves. You should be able to ride upwind, change direction, and hold your ground. You should be landing small jumps and making transitions.
You must also have 3rd party insurance, BKSA or equivalent.
If you can do more already this is great and we can push you upwards as far as you want to go either on a TT, surfboard tricks or waveriding.
As Boa Vista has some amazing wave spots we recommend bringing a surfboard for kiting on. In the (unlikely for this time of year) event of a no wind day there is lots of exploring to do or you can surf or hire a SUP. On the days we travel to other spots there will be a small charge for the 4x4, however you can choose to stay and kite outside the Hotel if you wish.
