We are super stoked to announce we are now open for Kitesurf Coaching in Cornwall. As per BKSA and Government guidelines we can now run private 1 on 1 coaching and intermediate lessons. With British Kitesports Advanced Coach, Lee 'Pasty' Harvey we are able to run all levels from Intermediate to Advanced in Kitefoil, Kitesurf, Strapless, Big Air and Tricks. Location will depend on conditions and chosen discipline, either Gwithian, Marazion or The Bluff (Hayle river) With a great forecast from middle of next week now is the time to book in. Join in on one of our spring kitesurf clinics in Cornwall, run by British Champion and BKSA Senior Coach, Lee Harvey. There is for everyone - Refresher clinic at Marazion or Hayle on the 29th April which is the perfect way to get back into kiting after the winter and meet some new friends at the same level. Intro to Wave at Marazion or Gwithian clinic on 6th May which is for anyone getting into riding a surfboard. Intermediate TT clinic on 13th May which for people happy going upwind and looking to get into jumping and looping. Kitefoil Clinic on 3rd June which is for everyone who is up riding on the foil and wants to start making foiling tacks, gybes and generally improving their upwind and downwind speed. We will also be running our Wave Improver clinic again during the Autumn, date tbc. To come on all clinics you need to be a member of the BKSA. Space is strictly limited so book up quick to avoid disappointment. For KKC members there are a limited amount of funded spots where the club pays £20 towards the cost of the clinic. You must mention on booking and be a member of the KKC showing your card to prove so on the clinic. The UKs top kitesurfers battled it out on the beaches of West Cornwall in a varied range of conditions with 22 competitors across the 3 fleets of- Pro Men, Seniors and Ladies.
Lee ‘Pasty’ Harvey won the Pro Mens division with Marc Rowley (Porthcawl) winning the seniors and Sukie Robertson (Perranporth) the ladies. Sunshine and wind made for great conditions for three days over the holiday period, all be it a little chilly at times. We ran two full beginner kitesurf courses with all four people doing amazing well and getting up riding on the board. On Easter Sunday BKSA Wave Coach, Lee 'Pasty' Harvey ran a Intro to Wave Clinic which saw novice surfboard riders learning lots to be getting on and practicing over the coming months in preperation for the autumn wave season. A big well done to everyone involved in fairly cold challenging conditons. Overall a great weekend and we are really happy with all our new kit for the 2014 season especially the new North Evo which we are using for beginner lessons and winter wetsuits from O'Neill which kept all our students nice and warm. With good winds forecast all week and the water much warmer than last year it looks like we are going to have a great summer for Kitesurfing in Cornwall and with Pasty Adventures being the only British Kitesports recognised school in West Cornwall there's no better place to learn. With great sadness, one of my best friends & Pasty Cup cameraman Jake, unfortunately died while filming Whirlpools in Hayle last week. He had someone on rescue & had done it loads of times before, but something happend and he's gone.
