 Easter Sunday Intro to Wave clinic What a great Easter and start to the kitesurfing season here in Cornwall. Sunshine and wind made for great conditions for three days over the holiday period, all be it a little chilly at times. We ran two full beginner kitesurf courses with all four people doing amazing well and getting up riding on the board. On Easter Sunday BKSA Wave Coach, Lee 'Pasty' Harvey ran a Intro to Wave Clinic which saw novice surfboard riders learning lots to be getting on and practicing over the coming months in preperation for the autumn wave season. A big well done to everyone involved in fairly cold challenging conditons. Overall a great weekend and we are really happy with all our new kit for the 2014 season especially the new North Evo which we are using for beginner lessons and winter wetsuits from O'Neill which kept all our students nice and warm. With good winds forecast all week and the water much warmer than last year it looks like we are going to have a great summer for Kitesurfing in Cornwall and with Pasty Adventures being the only British Kitesports recognised school in West Cornwall there's no better place to learn. Kitesurfing at Marazion
From the 11th April 2014 Pasty Adventures will be open for Kitesurf lessons at Gwithian and Marazion. As West Cornwall's only British Kitesports recognised school we pride ourselves on giving the best quality instruction and have just taken delivery of brand new North Kiteboarding kites and boards as well as wetsuits from O'Neill to ensure all students have the best possible equipment to start their kitesurfing career. We are back in Cornwall end of March after the PKRA World Tour Wave comp in Dakhla and will be open for Kitesurf Lessons as soon as conditions are good. South swell and mostly south winds has seen some epic jumping sessions and teaching days at Marazion while Gwithian has been perfect for getting into waveriding with cross shore winds and waist to head high waves. This weekend we had 3 guys on a private wave coaching weekend and they all learnt lots, going from struggling to get out on sat morning to riding down the line by sunday afternoon. Great to see and even better that they all had the North Whip after my recommendations as it really is the best kitesurf production board out there ;) Coming into the winter months we are still running beginner kitesurfing lessons in Cornwall right up until Christmas. We can also run private coaching or clinics in Waves or Twin Tip Freeride, check out whats available here and get in touch to discuss the best options for you. In January and Feb we will be out in Cape Town and are available for Private coaching. Lee has been to the Cape for 4 winters so if you want to have a days guiding to get to know the spots or some coaching to improve while on your hols? Then we can help you out. Week 1 is Freeriding on the Lagoon with Week 2, Waves at the perfect right hand pointbreak of Oum Laboiur. The forecast is looking great for The Pasty Cup, Kitesurf Racing British Championships round 1, on 25th - 26th May at Marazion, Cornwall.

Marazion, Cornwall Excitement is building with 2 weeks to go until the Pasty Cup sponsored by The National Marine Aquarium, The Seiners Arms & Philps pasties at Marazion, Cornwall over the bank holiday weekend 25-26 May. The Pasty Cup is the 1st of 4 events counting towards the 2013 British Kitesurf Racing Championships. Kitesurf Racing is the fastest form of sailing around an upwind/downwind course using big colourful kites over a mile long course set as close to the shore as conditions allow. Riders reach speeds up to 30mph, racing in winds ranging from 6-30 mph. In the event of wind in excess of 30mph the Kernow King of the Air event will run, where competitors are judged on jumping as high as possible with style. A spectacle not to be missed!
